TAKE NOTE ; DO A HPI CHECK with RAC etc. We were in the process of buying but did a HPI check at last minute, they assured us that this car was HPI clear and we put down a deposit . we then did a HPI check ourselves to find ALERTS came up warning of the cars outstanding finance and plate change issues. I rang them to be told a story that they had taken out the finance themselves on this car which would be cleared once we had bought the vehicle, Mmm Not heard that one before. I've asked for our deposit back.
