Went for a few physical therapy appointments to address pain in my left foot but will not be going back. Felt like the calf massage I received from the physical therapist assigned to me made my pain and numbness worse. When she gave the massage, I said that her massage was painful but she still continued despite the pain. I feel the pain from the massage 4 days later. I also now feel the numbness has increased and can feel it from the knee down. Only positive was that it was easy to schedule appointments.

I can't recommend the amazing team at Spear PT both Broadway and Ditmars location in Astoria. The entire staff from front desk to physical therapists were amazing. The process is very easy- which should be a relief to those anxious about the commitment of appointments when you're dealing with recovery from illness, injury, or surgery. I had weekly appointments at this Spear location with McKenna for 7 months until recently graduating, and I seriously cannot recommend her and Spear enough. I was there for pelvic floor related issues that had taken over my life. In the past, I had tried to address them by myself, and was left very anxious and discouraged by that experience. Angie worked with me at Spear on Broadway in Astoria for 5 1/2 months and was a great physical therapist. Spear's sterling reputation in the PT field is well deserved in my experience.
