I spent about seven days at Spaulding, Cape Cod in East Sandwich Massachusetts following a craniotomy. After such a procedure one is at one’s worst, but it is reassuring that Spaulding is always at its best. The level of care is truly phenomenal. Always overbooked. Need 2 days of the week for Therapy after surgery and can only get one and then nothing available the following week. The receptionist very rude and not willing to work with the client. Can not schedule more than 3 weeks out. So every time I try to schedule nothing is available. The receptionist gave me 4 dates and printed it out and told me to call tomorrow if I needed to change anything? However the next person behind me was able to make changes. I just spent 10 days at this hospital. I'm 74 and I have spent time in other hospitals, so I feel knowledgable/justified in placing Spaulding Hospital at the very top in ALL disciplines: Nursing; CNAs, Physical Therapists; Occupational Therapists and all areas of food management and delivery. The meals were better than a lot of restaurant meals that I've had on Cape Cod. If I needed a Nurse or CNA, the response was within 5 minutes (at the most). I feel very fortunate to have found Dr. Sheehan at Spaulding in Sandwich! The treatments I've received from him have been nothing short of a blessing! His procedures are executed with skilled precision! I always find him to be caring, compassionate, wise & wonderful. Lucky Spaulding to have his services, along with his polite, professional support staff! The hospital itself is immaculate, well cared for inside and outside.
