Spartacus Gym has been East Van's top independent gym since 1974. We offer weights, cardio equipment, and group classes including Yoga and martial arts like Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Kickboxing. We offer complimentary 2-hour underground parking for members. Open 363 days a year from 530am to 11pm on weekdays and 8am to 8pm on weekends and holidays!

Unfortunately this gym did not work well for my husband. He purposely joined the gym to have full access to classes to which the classes were not consistent and cancelled numerous times without notice. Now they will no longer honor the 4 month contract to which he has provided his membership fee for four months and has attempted to fix this issue as four months has passed and still being charged the membership fee according to the associate for another two months and there is nothing they can do about it. Just did a drop in here since I was thinking about switching from another gym close by... and had an excellent time. The staff member was helpful and friendly, he gave me a tour and answered all of my questions about the gym. Equipment-wise there is everything I need for strength training, and a good amount of squat racks and benches. Although the space is smaller, it was laid out well and didn't feel cramped or like I was in anyone's way. I had heard that there is a "bro-y" vibe here but I didn't get that at all! Was housitting by commercial drive and tried this place out. Loved the vibe, great equipment, and had an awesome workout. Will come back for sure!
