I was in search of a Veternary Group that was willing to listen and communicate with me about the needs and care of my 3 pets. The Sparta Animal Vets. did not try to push all kinds of treatments and products on me. They looked at each individual pet and provided all the information I needed so that I could make an informed decision. I was extremely impressed!
The docs seem to have a good raport with the pets. My issue is with follow up on care. I had asked about a growth on my dogs face and was told it was probably a cist and to keep an eye on it. After 2 months it had doubled in size so the doc said surgery was necessary for removal and suggested having pathology done to see what it was. After more than 2 weeks post surgery I still had not heard back on the results. RecommendedI drive 30 miles from home to go to Sparta animal clinic. They have been absolutely awesome with my 4 pound chihuahua Benny. The staff is so friendly and amazing with people and fur babies! Even tho I pass a few vet offices to go Sparta, I will continue to drive the distance!

I am beyond impressed over the last year between having lost an eighteen year old famliy pet. Just a week later our other other dog was poisoned with rat poisoning. The care and compassion was just amazing. That was fall of '19. Fast-forward to fresh out of Covid our previously poisoned dog (shitzu) had what we thought was a kidney stone, as did they at first. We have been using this veterinary office for over 40 years. They have cared for the animals on the farm as well as our dogs and cats. Very professional and compassionate service.
Vet was awesome! He was patient and got to know our dog first before trying to administer shots to her. Sat on the floor with her for a full 15-20 mins and just talked and gave her treats so she would know he was a friend. We were able to get her exam and shots done without a muzzle!
