I was a frequent user of this sauna until a year ago, when I finally got tired of the bad mood of the staff, especially the manager. The atmosphere was nice and the cleanliness was good. I visited the sauna during LGBTQIA+ Pride week and it was not a good experience. The staff is completely focused on repelling our community. I was there for about 4 hours and talked to everyone who came to the sauna during that time. It is impressive to realize that more than 90% of the men who came there were friendly to our community and had the same criticism "you don't feel welcome here", since the staff is constantly monitoring everyone. June 2025: Riverside is now under new management, by the nephew of the founder. He is implementing upgrades and updates incrementally. At this writing, things already look fresher and more contemporary. "Alex" is doing a good job handling massages and scrubs on the men's side -- for my last massage he actually walked on my back using to overhead (ceiling-mounted) rails. It was wonderful. The new manager, Ryan, is invested in providing a good spa experience and seems open to suggestions and dialog.
