I had a wonderful stay at the Barona Resort, sweetened by my experience with Heidi and staff at the day spa. I requested the 50 minute muscle melt. I usually like a very strong pressure and have a few troubled areas like the neck and hip area. Heidi was very strong and obviously knowledgeable about the human body and muscle therapy. there were a few instances when I had to breath through the pressure, but I am so glad I did. she seemed to be expanding the space between vertebrae, oxygen and blood flow. The whole spa is very spacious, beautiful, and inviting. Kate gives a stellar massage, which is saying a lot because I am picky! Her strong, sustained compressions are a great way to start with those of us who have a hard time calming the mind in order to relax. Within 10 minutes, I was more relaxed than I usually am by the end of most massages! It was wonderful! I had Andrea she gave a very relaxing experience I had a Swedish massage. I highly recommend this spa.
I utilized your spa facilities on our recent trip to Barona. I had a 1 1/2 hr massage and rejuvenating facial. The masseure was talented, but a bit too deep for comfort some of the time but overall she was quite good. The facialist was wearing plastic gloves for the entire facial. I have a facial at least once a month for the last 30 + years and have never had someone wear gloves. I can only assume that she was not licensed to be an aestician thereby being able to physically touch skin. I was off-put by this procedure... read more
