Dr Soverinsky is the first & only psychiatrist I’ve ever visited that truly understands the science behind the various prescription medicines. He’s not a pill pusher like many others are. He performs a deep analysis of symptoms and couples that with the science & biology that he’s adept at identifying as relevant. As a scientist myself, I appreciate his disciplined approach, and his ingenuity in safely combining medicines to attack the cause of problems in direct, efficient ways. Have you ever been laughed at by a licensed “professional” you reached out to for help? Call this guy if you want to know what that feels like. It’s even worse when you have PTSD like I do. Mark should be ashamed and embarrassed of his behavior towards me, but I don’t think he is. After seeing so many other bad reviews of him spanning over several years, it looks like a pattern for him to mistreat people. And he doesn’t care that he hurt me or them, because he just keeps saying things to people that lead to nasty reviews.
I would leave zero stars if it were an option. Called to inquire about services for a family member. After Mark told me how he was to be paid, he laughed at me (my family situation), told me "uh, I don't have time" and hung up on me. I'm grateful I witnessed this before any treatment was provided to my family member. He was incredibly rude, even when he knew that a colleague of his had referred me to him (which I'm sure will no longer be the case!). He's a psychiatrist who needs a psychiatrist... Unusually intelligent. Highly Competent. His understanding, knowledge and ability to treat my diagnosis reflected that he is a psychiatrist's psychiatrist. The elite in this specialty could benefit by learning from him.
NEVER WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS PERSON! Rude, arrogant, and demeaning. One of my daughters is learning disabled, suffers from medical problems and anxiety. She was to see him for the anxiety. He terrorized her with his behavior and anger when he could not open his office door. I intend to follow up hard copy letters to all Boards and Facilities he is associated with. I do not have enough space to go into all the details here.
I'm so ADD, I forgot what I am doing on this website....! That used to be the case, but being treated by Dr. Soverinsky has dramatically helped me to focus and be productive.
