Great place to stay for attractions. the staff are very friendly and helpful. Only downfall lack cooking and kitchen facilities. They stay was right for us and everything we wanted do see and taste around Ballarat was near by

The convenience and experience of staying on-site of one of the premium museum parks is great. I do wish they could upgrade the rooms and amenities provided to the room. NOTE: even though the hotel provides a microwave which implies you may cook in the room. DO NOT DO THIS. The smoke alarms are EXTREMELY sensitive and merely cooking toast could trigger them. This activates a fire brigade call out which the hotel WILL insist YOU paying. This occurred to friends of ours that stayed with us at the facility.

We stayed for 3 nights and found the room to be clean and tidy. Complimentary tea, coffee and milk was nice to have available. Very easy access to Sovereign Hill made it a good place to stay. Fridge constantly running was a bit of a nuisance at night.

We booked in expecting some sort of historic feel. It's pretty underwhelming in terms of style, but the beds are comfortable, and the view was nice. If we had a do over, we would book a hotel in town and travel to the museum. This was before we realised we were sharing the hotel with multiple school groups. It is unfortunate that there were no warnings of schools attending when making a booking. If you are looking for a relaxing accommodation, perhaps book a spot in town.
