I needed a stone to repair a customer's bracelet. I tried all of the large distributors like IJS, Rio Grande and Thunderbird but could not locate one. This place as well as Stone Mountain Beadary are the 2 best places for semi precious gemstones and beads, stones, minerals etc. that I have ever been to in my life. This Southwest Gems and Minerals place is simply extensive and outstanding. The prices are very affordable; and they just have such a lovely selection of everything. GO! The other place I mentioned is more gemstone jewelry.Good prices and they will make a necklace for you with watever you pick out n want to use. custom and done in like 15 minutes. great stuff.
I visited this store while in Albuquerque a few weeks ago and was struck by the incredible selection of high quality rocks and gems. I strongly recommend it for serious rock hounds and, especially, amateur jewelers. The prices were very reasonable and the staff was both helpful and knowledgeable. As the adult daughter of a serious rock hound and jeweler, I have been in many rock shops in my life. This was by far the best.
