We are in so much debt because of this company and we can’t change to a different company since it’s the only one in our area! Our bill is $560 because of some kind of $300 deposit every month??? No way am I paying that.

When my husband and I moved here and set up our power, they neglected to inform us of any processes on their billing system. Come to find out months later (of $300-$400 bills every month and threats of disconnection) that they actually bill you twice because they read the meters at weird times. I called SWEPCO to let them know I did not receive a bill, I asked them if I would be charged late fees because they never sent the bill, the lady said you still got 2 days, on a late Friday bill was due Tuesday. Well, I asked her to send me all the bills to my email, she blamed the post office, well bill was due on 2/21/23 today is 2/22/23 and just got the bills today. When I asked about the late fees she said if you don't pay on time, am giving you a 1 star because of bad customer service.
