Power outages are very rarely more than a few minutes. I am treated like a customer instead of just a member of the Co-op. I thank the linemen and women who work 24x7 to get out power back on during every outage when we have a storm.
My family and I are prior Navy that moved back to the area this past year. Currently we are in the closing process on our home at our last duty station in SC (finally after a YEAR and we've been closing for the last two months as our closing date has been postponed 5 times now.) We've been paying two mortgages and utilities on both homes since November of last year. Southwestern Electric "Cooperative" was not cooperative! They just came out and installed my new "Smart Meter" against my will and in spite of my protests.
(get this people.....southwestern electric called us to check on us to see if we had power.....not the other way around. what a company) I POSTED THIS MARCH 4 2011. I still feel the same way about SWE today. They are a great electric company and we are blessed to have them as our provider!
The tree trimmers did an excellent job today clearing limbs from our power lines and cleaning up. Thank you!
