I travelled from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada for my parathyroid surgery and would highly recommend Dr. Deva Boone and her team. They were professional, always responded quickly and ensured that I and my spouse fully understood all aspects of the procedure. My recovery was excellent and the follow through was good. Dr. Boone is very easy to relate to and even called the evening after the surgery to check on how I was doing.
I am happy to give Dr Boone an excellent review. I'm profoundly thankful I found her. From the consult to the surgery to post op she was easy to talk to and took the time we needed to answer any questions. She's very calm and I and my family appreciated her visits while i was in the pre op section and also in the recovery room. Dr. Boone was by far the most considerate and professional physician that I have dealt with in many years. I am 82 years old and that says a lot about her! She went into great detail about my upcoming surgery so that I knew just what to expect. It went went very smoothly and she even called me at home as a follow up after my surgery. Dr Boone was terrific. She explained the implications of my bloodwork (hyperparathyroidism) and recommended surgery. I was VERY lucky to have been able to have my surgery quickly due to a cancellation. Easy recovery. I have been sooo much better. My calcium, pth, and D3 have been steadily improving. My "scar" if you can call it that is practically invisible 8 months later. I can't recommend Dr Boone enough! She's the GOAT.
I would highly recommend Dr. Deva Boone and the Southwest Parathyroid Center for anyone in need of parathyroid surgery. She is an expert with a great deal of knowledge and experience treating parathyroid problems. I travelled from NY to AZ so she could do my surgery. This is not something I would normally do.
