I really like my doctor Shawn Palmer but I really dislike how long it takes to get in to see him. This office is super overbooked and I question the ethical consequences of not having enough doctors to handle the amount of patients they are given. This is an epidemic for this entire area. Not to mention the pay provided to the employees here is not designed to sustain the professionals we need. SWHS pay your staff a better wage, and hire more doctors.
This rating is for all the nurses and other supportive staff at these clinics. As a pharmacist who has worked in this town for almost a decade I know they are the ones keeping healthcare running in this town. It's amazing what they are able to do with all the challenges of rural healthcare and the revolving door of doctors that come and go. Thanks for all of your hard work! I don't know what we would do without you.
If I could leave a 0 I would! I’m not happy at all with Dr. Mullen! It’s ridiculous when you call there to get a referral and they tell you to look and see who you want to see and you do and tell them the name and address and then call them back and ask if they called yet and they said no we are waiting for you guys and I guess Dr. Mullen would rather go on vacation then finish her job!
We waited 6 weeks for an appointment for my daughter just to get it cancelled 4 days before the appointment because the provider “stopped working on Fridays!”. Saying we’re disappointed is an understatement as they’re of course not able to go get her in with someone else sooner or that day. Health is too important to be played around with. We’ll go back to going to other towns for health needs.
Veterans with community care through the VA, DO NOT GO HERE! I understand if you're in the Dolores/Mancos/Cortez area, there's limited options for community care providers, but unless you are in good mental health, this place will make you lose your mind in trying to get anything done outside of your primary care visit. Anything outside of your regular provider visit, you need an additional authorization from Southwest (ex.
