I went through their Pre-service program and can say the boot camp is absolutely challenging, but it a well designed way. The instructors will push you but want to see you succeed and there is a good balance between this is what's "text book" vs lessons learned in the job.
Southwest Fire Academy is the pinnacle of firefighting. They provide the highest quality of instructors, training, and real world experiences. You are given the real deal fire house experience- they went above and beyond to provide what it is like to live with your brothers and sisters. I can't thank SFA enough for offering such an amazing pre-service. For anyone looking at a facility to obtain their Firefighting 1&2, look no further. You won't regret it.
