Although Dr Tentler did an amazing job treating the several cavities in my teeth, I felt his choice of treatment was overtreatment. Being IV sedated was better than gagging the whole time the dentist is placing an undesirable amalgam filling in my tooth though. For shallow cavities I wish he hadn't hollowed out those teeth and preformed a root canal. I was born with a disability, and I was on my parent's dental insurance. As the parent of two adult sons with significant disabilities, I can’t say enough about Dr. Tentler and his staff. We’ve been taking our sons to Dr. Tentler for over 20 years. Dr. Tentler and his staff do an excellent job of keeping our sons comfortable during their visits. Because our sons have limited communication skills, it’s very important for us to have a dentist we can trust. Dr. Tentler takes the time to fully and patient explain exam and cleaning results. Dr Tentler is a good one. He repaired chips on my two bottom front teeth, and I really appreciate the craftsmanship and artistry that produced very good results. This is in addition to his kindness and humor which put the patient at ease.
Although Dr Tentler did an amazing job treating my cavities (no pain after the treatment), I felt hollowing out my teeth and performing a root canal was overtreatment especially since the cavities were shallow. Dr Tentler recommended a Phillips Sonicare Electric Toothbrush because he said Oral B (the brand I've been using for years) wasn't as good because of where it was made. Whenever I tried to brush with the Phillips Sonicare Toothbrush I couldn't brush the back because of my gag reflex, so dental appointments were horrib... read more
