For several years, our 2 SW Cardiology doctors and their PA's didn't perform the tests necessary to make sure our hearts were safe. My husband went into cardiac arrest from V-Fib, was resuscitated by the paramedics, and in the ER, tests found every main blood vessel and most of the smaller ones in his heart were mostly to completely blocked - after we had just had our annual Medicare visit with our Primary care and just before our annual cardiology visits. Not a good experience at all regarding our mother's care during her stay at the this hospital. The lack of communication between staff and each provider was non existent. We had to explain to each provider that was providing care what the other had told us. Each provider gave us different and conflicting information. My mothers primary care physician had spoken to a PA from cardiology from the hospital and it was advised for my mom to be taken to the ER and admitted that evening.
