Sad I had to leave do to moving away, but this was the perfect gym for after work workouts. Just right off the Southport Brown line where alot of people use for commute. Large stretching area and plenty of treadmills and stair machines. Had a small hiccup with cancelation, but it was resolved..
I recently had my free consultation at Southport Fitness, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The personal trainer I worked with was extremely knowledgeable, he took the time to answer all of my questions, and really listened to my goals. What stood out most to me was that there was no sales pressure, it truly felt like a conversation focused on my fitness journey rather than a pitch. I would recommend Southport. They have a clean gym, friendly staff, and congenial but not overly talkative gym members. I got to work with Jeremy the trainer and he was really excellent as well.
I've been a member since July of 2025 and mostly held back on reviewing until I get a good feel for this gym. Roughly 8 months later, my opinion hasn't changed so I'll review it here: 5/5 stars While it is a smaller gym than many, it is never too crowded. People actually wipe their equipment, the gym is very clean, and it is 24 hours so you're never in a rush to get a workout in. Love this gym! I’m actually so glad I was able to find a gym that’s close to where I live and is open 24/7! It’s hard to find that nowadays! There’s a bunch of attachments and barbells, I can easily do my compound movements and all! For a small gym, it definitely holds a lot!
