GREAT DOCTOR! I was referred to Dr. Allison by a friend of mine for hormone treatment. I did a little research online and saw some of the mixed reviews. Based on the great feedback from my friend I decided to give her a try. To my pleasant surprise the experience was great. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Southpoint Medicine understands what healthCARE means! I saw Dr. Allison for the first time in 2005. I initially chose the practice because I wanted a female physician, but ended up returning because Dr. Allison is a very bright diagnostician. I had suffered from dysmenorrhea since puberty and had been constantly misdiagnosed or told that it would go away on its own. Dr. Allison knew that my symptoms didn't sound normal and immediately educated me on endometriosis (diagnosis was later confirmed through laparoscopy).
