The practice, rather peculiarly, refused to complete a non-medical exemption form for my daughter's school. They didn't give any reason, just Dr Gavigan would not do it, which is not good practice. I did explain that we are temporary residents of the US (clearly) from a first world country with extensive healthcare, and that I am very pro, very aware and very well educated on the importance of children's immunisations and my daughter is up to date with all her immunizations. AdventHealth Medical Group Primary Care at Southlands is nothing short of amazing. Our children have been coming here for years, and every visit has been exceptional. Highly recommend if you're having an emergency. The nurses and doctors were so kind and helpful, and most importantly, they patched me up without the need for hospitalization. Thanks.

It’s impossible to get care in a timely manner with Advent. I waited 3 months for an appointment and felt as if the new PCP I was trying to establish care with did not share my level of concern for the issues I brought up. I tried booking with a different PCP and was told the next available time slot was all the way in February. With it currently being October, that’s ridiculous. I moved my care to a different provider that was able to see me within 2 weeks of calling. I will never recommend Advent to anyone.

Shady billing practices. I scheduled an appointment, and as I was filling out the paperwork through the link they said I had a $75 copay that could either be paid online immediately prior to my appt or at the office. I called because an annual checkup should be no charge. The lady who answered the phone said it was "probably" just because they couldn't assign a different code.
