A must stop
Delicious chopped BBQ sandwich with slaw for the ride home from OBX. The seasoning is perfect, no sauces or salt & pepper needed. Friendly and helpful staff. Great price for the amount of BBQ on the sandwich. We won't drive by again without stopping!
My wife and I used to enjoy stopping here every couple weeks to get a milk shake. Unfortunately, when you feel like you are inconveniencing the employees by ordering something, it takes all the joy out of it. Worst than that, it seems that they wait to see what too is provided before they even begin making an order. Maybe it’s just me. Either way, I’m hoping to find somewhere a little more enjoyable to stop for now on. Does this look like whipped Cream and a cherry? Why ask if you are not going to give it to me anyway.
I've been coming to Southland for years. I love the variety of items they have in their shop and being able to pick up eastern NC style BBQ to take home to the other side of the state. The restaurant keeps limited hours so I've never had the chance to actually eat in the restaurant. But I also appreciate that there is a gas station at the location so you can cover a lot of your bases in one spot.
