I have been going to Southie Nail bar for about 4 years. I moved to Boston from CA and it’s the only place I have been able to find who can do the elaborate nail art and trends that I was accustomed to back home. My nail tech Melissa is the best and is always on top of the latest nail trends and does great work and is unbelievably fast without cutting corners on quality. There hasn’t been a single elaborate nail request that she hasn’t been able to pull off flawlessly for me. 10/10

I have had several good experiences here, but last week I had a terrible time getting a Gel X manicure with Jess. She was very distracted, rough, at one point picked up a buffer the tech next to her had just been using and used it on my nails, and clipped my cuticles so aggressively she cut me. I let the desk know I was bleeding and they offered a 10% discount which I accepted at the time, but the cut has since become infected and they refuse to give me a refund. DO NOT BOOK WITH JESS and be very aware of cleanliness here.

This is how I walked out of the salon. They were cut so short and sticking up / out. One of my fingers was cut so bad it was bleeding. And so expensive.
