I have been going to Southgate for years! Dr McNamee is the most kind, caring Vet. Patient & compassionate with my cat Yoshi. The Techs & front desk staff couldn’t be any nicer.
Brought in my large sulcata tortoise with a respiratory infection. Staff was very accommodating with the big guy and the first thing in the morning call. Christine and Joyce were very helpful getting us situated and taking my sulcata for X-rays and a weight check. Dr. Casey did a wonderful job explaining everything and providing instructions for treatment. Good exotic vets can be hard to find, but they went above and beyond in helping us out.
I have had a rescue dog for the last 3 years with a lot of behavioral issues. I have called and seen many veterinarians, looking for help, but have received none. Dr. Casey was the first Doctor who spent time with me, gave me all my options, and now we have a plan. Not only am I grateful to Dr. Casey for helping me and my fur baby, but she also took much time to discuss the situation and was so compassionate. Thank you so much to Dr. McNamee and staff at Southgate Animal Hospital for the care that they did for our Bunny. Finding an “exotic pet” vet is very difficult in emergency situations but they made time to see Bunny when no one would. It’s hard writing a review after a pet’s passing but the compassion that they showed us as pet parents during (and after) the difficult times of a pet’s end of life care, made a very sad time a little easier.
