Our home was very badly damaged by Hurricane Helene. We were overwhelmed by the shock and pain of becoming homeless, which was very hard to comprehend. We have been very well taken care of from start to finish by Southern Trust Insurance and its employees, especially Steve Dunn. All they have done is take tens of thousands of dollars from us for nothing in return then threw us away like a piece of trash.
So I want to start off by giving a huge shoutout to Shay Jackson!! She is amazing!!! I got into an accident with someone who is insured with Southern Trust, and the adjuster for my case (Shay Jackson) went above and beyond to help me with my claim. I was nervous because of the one star reviews for Southern Trust in general. However, Shay was a blessing and helped me get through the process to keep my Jeep! I interviewed with this company but never received any follow-up or feedback. Despite leaving multiple messages, no one responded. This lack of communication is unprofessional and reflects poorly on the company’s hiring process. A simple courtesy message informing candidates of the outcome would go a long way in showing respect for people’s time and effort.
1. My mortgage company was notified in February that my homeowners insurance would be canceled; however, I wasn’t sent a notification until June 14 about July 17th cancellation leaving me less than 30 days to find coverage (which is legal according to the Ga. Insurance Commission) 2. The reason for cancellation was: (1) Failure to replace not repair roof from 1st claim (which was not enough to replace). I submitted a 2nd claim for Hurricane Helene.
