Run, don’t walk—Southern Spoon in Brewer is a hidden gem. Tucked a little off the beaten path, this place is so worth finding. We had one of the best lunches I’ve had in the greater area. The pimento BLT was incredible—one bite in and I was hooked. It was an extremely thick sandwich stacked high on homemade buttered bread. Just perfect. Today was my first time in. I ordered the special and fish tacos with some sweet tea and strawberry lemonade. My sister and I split both dishes so we can try them out. It was delicious . I can't wait to try more dishes. It's hard to find rich tasting food here in maine. Southern spoon has really kicked it up. I know have 2 places to pick from.
Outstanding service, I felt like I had known them all my life at first meeting!! absolutely amazing food!! Can’t wait to go back!
My husband and I are from Texas and this place really hit the spot for craving southern food. The sweet tea was delicious, the food was perfect and the staff were very friendly. This is definitely our new lunch spot when we come to Bangor.
