We were really excited for our family vacation to Gulf Shores at Big Blue, but unfortunately our stay got off to a very disappointing start. When we arrived, it was immediately obvious the house hadn’t been cleaned properly. Within minutes, our feet were black from walking on the floors. This is the second time I have rented with them. It’s like working with the mafia. They accept the rental and then refuse to resolve legitimate issues. I have rented a place in Gulf Shores for four weeks. The mattress in the master bedroom is worn out, sags, sinks in the middle and squeaks. Probably 15-20 years old. The owner has refused to replace it. Southern sent a guy over to put on a mattress topper, like that would help. When we arrived the condo was dirty. Dirt piled on the kitchen floor and food smeared on the couch! Word of advice take pictures. The kitchen garbage can was damaged upon arrival and we were just charged for it because we had no proof. Our mistake we didn’t take pictures but felt confident their team would have documented this. Be careful and take time stamped pictures of everything!
