you have to watch these people they wll lowball your scrap and sometimes cheat you out of hundreds of dollars and then go behnd you and divide up the spoils amoung themselves dont be suprized when they hand you not much more than gas money it took to bring it to them

I can only assume that TON is on the Northern Metal payroll and trying to drum up business. I have usually brought my aluminum cans into Philips aka Northern Metal because of its location and the drive through system. The person weighing the cans is a tall man wearing a cowboy hat. Standing on a platform 3 feet above you, this isnt a person you are likely to question or confront. On my last aluminum dropoff, I happened to watch the scale weight. It balanced out at 16.8 pounds. Good scrap yard, friendly people, warning though: lots of debris to run over while your driving your load around. Also the hours are worse than banks they close at 3:45 on fridays, and arent open on saturdays. oh yeah and they normally tell you they have the highest price on aluminum cans.
