I have been going to SOIM since 2014 when I moved here. I have had nothing but very good care and I am very satisfied. When my doctor recently retired, I was switched temporarily to a nurse practitioner who seemed very competent. Since the new doctor arrived, a young Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, I am more than satisfied. I have been a patient at Southern Oregon Internal Medicine for 8 years. At the time, it was one of only a few places in the Rogue Valley with doctors accepting new patients. My doctor recently retired with his replacement arriving finally in the last month. I ended up signing up with SOIM's nurse practitioner and saw her a few weeks ago. I had wax in my ears and hoped to have it removed. A nurse, who apparently had just learned to remove wax from ears, struggle for 20 minutes to complete the task. I love Dr. Murphy and it always feels like you get to know each other personally. He makes notes so that he makes you feel like you and the things you talk about are never forgotten!! He takes the time to listen and takes every concern seriously. Even if he doesn’t think you have the problem you think you have, he still does the testing to investigate it. As far as i'm concerned, there is only one good doctor here in the whole facility. Unfortunately, he is not a p c p. He is the best endocrinologist in jackson county. Doctor hungerford. I have been seeing him for over twenty years. Not one complaint. He listens to everything you say. Excellent bedside manner. And takes care of your medical business immediately.
