Found a gem of a restaurant in Elkin! Nestled in a building built around 1890. The food was fabulous, service super and quaint atmosphere. We started with smashed brussel sprouts with bacon and honey, tender with some crispness! Husband had the blackened chicken tortellini, I ended up with the roasted beet salad and chicken, sausage and shrimp gumbo. What a marvelous place on a corner of downtown Elkin. Many years since my last visit downtown and so grateful to find places like this still thriving. Our hostess was attentive and helpful with great suggestions, and the food was the star of the show it should be. The Catfish lunch plate was full of feel-good equal portions: the well-seasoned fish filet, green beans (Southern style of course), and scrumptious yellow grits.
