My son was seen by a physician at a hospital twice in one day. This company billed insurance for the first visit and was paid. For the second visit, the account went to collections unbeknownst to my son. In speaking to the insurance company, they never received the second claim. The insurance company attempted to get a copy of the claim and the collections agency refused. Charging a bill to collections when on a date I wasn’t even at your facility is wild ! What’s wilder is they did this 3 months AFTER MY SONS DEATH ! WE DIDNT EVEN GO TO THIS PLACE ! NOW MY CREDIT IS FUCcd AND I KEEP DISPUTING WITH NO HOPE ! Plus I’ve had state insurance since I was 18 , I’m 26 and it’s still active . I’ve NEVER paid a medical bill cause it’s always covered !!
I believe they are scammers now!!! I kept getting a bill in the mail from a DOS, I paid it, and now the number is d/c!!! I think this was fake!!
Just got a bill from an ER visit six months ago. It said they got no response from my insurance company. Called my insurance company, and Southern Emergency Medical never submitted a claim! Tried to call to discuss, but the recorded greeting said the office is "permanently closed"?! UPDATE: I submitted their claim to my insurance company; afraid that the insurance wouldn't pay quickly enough, I paid it out of pocket.
