The billing issues persist. Imaging itself was fine, but the billing department is the worst I’ve ever dealt with. I received a bill in the mail, called the billing department, they put in my insurance number wrong. Fine. They updated it and billed my insurance again. Get another bill in the mail. Call insurance. Phone line constantly comes up with a busy signal. Is the phone off the hook? All the online payment platform gave was confirmation number and amount, doesn't even list date of payment, or the provider (Southern Delaware Imaging Associates).
even though they have a addresses listed. They are both empty buildings.. Phone calls are never returned.. I had a mamo done and the the doctor that read it belonged to South Delaware Imaging Associates and did not take Medicare and AARP. after being threated with my bill sent to collections, I paid... Shady operation. They are the ones contracted with Beebe and Beebe billing office are unable to help.
I got billed for a tech mistake for my multilateral ultrasound. My initial ultrasound was covered 100% because the code was for dense breasts which is a free ultrasound in Delaware. The tech made an error, so the radiologist called me back the next day claiming it would be 'no charge'. Except he coded it diagnostic and for a year Southern Delaware Imaging has refused to correct the bill. Their final determination is that I owe the money for the techs mistake.
