A fantastic experience getting a hip replacement at brightside. It wasn’t something I particularly was looking forward to, but the surgical team, Michael Flint, Matt McGee and Co did a great job. I’m walking around on crutches the following day. The hospital staff and nurses were so friendly and helpful. Couldn’t ask for more. And to top things off the food was super delicious. I might just pop by for another one of those lamb rumps. Thanks for your care team.
They take really great care of you here. The nurses are lovely / attentive and caring. The rooms are spacious and the food is good . Highly recommend.
3 Weeks ago I was lucky enough to have a hip replacement done at Brightside Hospital. The facilities were ideal and the food really fantastic (wish I'd taken photos!) But, the 5 stars are especially for the staff who are just wonderful. The care, empathy, support and experience they brought made me feel safe, confident and heard. Amazing facility. I cannot stress how awesome the staff are. I just had knee replacement surgery done and they were absolutely incredible.
Extremely disappointed after over 10 years with Southern Cross. I was assured by their staff over the phone in April 2025 that my UltraCare policy could be placed on hold while I moved overseas — only to later be told the suspension was never approved, without any follow-up or phone call. Based on the staff’s verbal confirmation, I made financial plans assuming the policy was on suspension.
