The owner of this place is the best golf cart mechanic in The Villages hands down. After being screwed over by 3 other competitors, I was informed that the owner of Southern Cart Works fixes what everybody else can not. Sure enough Brian (owner) fixed my cart and delivered it to me next day. I have since heard of Brian's abilities from other Villagers since having the work done. My cart will never go anywhere else!
I had my grandfathers cart completely upgraded as a Christmas suprise and let me tell you Southern Cart Works did an amazing job! From the paint job down to the new seats it looked like a brand new cart! We now have his cart serviced every 6 months and they are always timely in the return of his cart. If there ever was a time it would take longer than a day for his repairs they would generously offer a loaner in the meantime so he would not miss any tee times! I had a Yamaha gas cart built from them after shopping around. They offered many options and had the best prices. I later found out that Southern Cart Works is the place other mechanics send motors to be rebuilt. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

I have always had my 2 carts get maintenance and any and all repairs with this company. Their service and expertise is unmatched! I have told all my friends that they should also take their carts there as well. Great work!
DO NOT rent from them. Company rents old, unreliable carts. Gave me cart with cracked windshield, no side mirrors and cotter pin in shift. They say the would give me different cart, then said they didn't have any. Took week to put on mirrors. Cart would not start and had to be towed. Admitted they gave me cart with dead battery. I emailed them numerous times and they responded but said in email about cart problem, they said I never contacted them. VERY POOR Customer service and continued to make excuses.
