Just finished taking General Chemistry with the lab and I can say that was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had when it comes to school. This is supposed to be a general course, but the amount of work and the level of work required did not feel like a general course. I’ve taken biochemistry at this school, and it was not as strenuous as this general chemistry course. The lab, which is a 1 unit course, had more work than the lecture course. I took the physiology and microbiology courses for prerequisites, and would definitely recommend any courses under Professor Cauilan. She responds quickly to messages, explains difficult concepts in an efficient manner, and presents lecture material in a way that maximizes understanding. I cannot speak for the reviews on other courses, but can definitely say that courses under Professor Cauilan were worth it! For asynchronous classes, it is all about how you want to study and pace the course.
worst online class experience of my life. I have a four year degree from SFSU and am pursuing a graduate degree. I needed a chem class as a pre requisite. Chose SCUHS for the tutoring included. The class structure is horrible. I feel like they set you up to fail in order to get you money AGAIN. Do not go here if you just need medical pre requisites. Man what a terrible experience. Feels like a money scam. The class average for our lecture exam for Chem 1 was a 43, but no corrections were allowed.. So half the class had to drop or end up failing. DO NOT SIGN UP THIS IS A PURE MONEY GRAB.
