I have been a member at this local bank for 5 years!!!! I have a savings account there and every month I get paid I come and cash my check there. Well today the lady that work in the middle I can’t think of her name made me very uncomfortable because I come in and cash my check there and don’t deposit it she have something to say and said today “it’s people always questioning her” because I don’t leave my money in the bank. this is not her first time asking why I don’t want my money in the bank. I was looking for a local bank in Elizabeth City, NC and came across Southern Bank. My banker Kayla, professional, informative, and friendly, opened my new accounts. The tellers were also very welcoming and helpful. I like that the savings account comes with an ATM and not a DEBIT card. I was surprised that they have a Christmas Club which I haven't seen in a very long time. This will help me set a holiday budget and no more holiday credit card debts. I look forward to banking here.
