A year and a half ago my son met one of the most wonderful and important people in our lives, Mrs. Wendy Harris. When I say she has truly been life changing, it is not an exaggeration. Before we started speech my son, who was almost 3, was non verbal. He walked off at an amusement park and it was the most frightening day of my life. My son has done both Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy at SPT for 2 years now. These people are AMAZING and have become part of our family. From Ms. Melissa behind the front desk (my youngest absolutely adores her!) to all the therapists. The OTs here are amazing! My son has shown amazing growth and very quickly at that. The office staff is super friendly and great with the kids.
I am a senior Communications of Sciences and Disorders major at Longwood University, who shadow the SLPs here for a few days. The therapists here are knowledgeable and talented. They are kind, caring, and really get to know their patients and the patients’ families. I am extremely thankful that they allowed me to shadow their SLPs. I learned so much in the short time I spent with them!!!
