When a physician sends in a prescription for a hospice patient, shouldn't it be filled? Why would a pharmacy not fill it until a family member calls and tells them to fill it. If the hospice patient didn't need it, the physician would not have ordered it. The patient is hospice! This is poor service and poor patient care! I'm a nurse and patient care should always be a hospital or pharmacy's highest priority! This is a shame and should be an embarrassment to the Southeastern health system.
