RecommendedI follow the Southeast Missourian so that I can keep up with events happening in and around my hometown. Today I needed the Southeast Missourian to help me track down a post from 1995 and they came through like champs! It was the long shot of long shots and I have to thank Katelyn and the librarian who dug through physical papers to find this very needed info. Thank you ladies and thanks to the Southeast Missourian!!!

Perpetuating hatred, racism, bigotry, and prejudice is not OK. The “cartoon” published on 8/16/2020 was disgusting and the Southeast Missourian needs to step up and acknowledge and learn from this. I am horrified by the blatant racism and ashamed for you. You must do better and be better. The fact that you have never cared about the people of color in your community is sickening. However, what can we expect from the same paper who called black students at SEMO “thugs” at one point in time. Horrible publication.
