Highly disappointed in the nursing staff this morning, specifically the insufferable platinum blonde “nurse” during discharge. She was unprofessional, power-tripping, and lacked compassion. She completely ignored my sister's recent knee surgery requirements and I was called "belligerent" simply for insisting my sister use her wheelchair (which was previously discussed and approved by her) rather than crutches. We have been waiting here for hours as the same few people are called over and over while staunching the bleeding of a degloved finger while people blare music on speakerphone and children run around the waiting room as if it were their own playground. Absolutely unacceptable. I would have left if I had any idea it would be this bad, bleeding be damned.
I am so thankful for the treatment my husband Rob receives at SE. He is a double lung transplant pt and had a life altering accident in 2022. Dr. Carter saved his life. He did so again in 2024 when my husband had an internal bleed in 2024. God Bless Dr. Carter. We have been for other issues and he always comforts us. I love the way the ED runs. Thank you SE Health for keeping my husband and me upright and alive.
Took 70 year old mother to ER for private area heavy blood loss. 3 hours later she hasn't been seen nor has been ported for an IV so when CT technician got her for a scan he brought her back and said that he couldn't do the scan without contrast and that he didn't know when she could get an IV in. Meanwhile we are getting pads from a nurse so she can change in the bathroom periodically. She is also on oxygen and her portable tank is about empty. Apparently no one at this ER understands the severity of a distended gallbladder and cholecystitis that requires surgical intervention and just leaves patients dying in the ER for hours without a care in the world. These people are so incompetent. Can't believe our doctor would recommend this place. They clearly do not care about the well-being of their patients.
