Incompetent staff. We took our son here back in January, to thr ER, we gave the triage nurse our insurance information. When sending our info to the billing department, she marked us as self pay/uninsured. I have called multiple times to have this issue resolved. It is evident nobody gives a crap. How hard is it to bill my insurance company! I have lived all over the country, and have never encountered such smooth brained behavior in my life.
I like this hospital. The care I’ve gotten two times I had to go for a back x ray and a MRI. Both times I got excellent care and all employees were friendly. Thoughtful and treated me with respect. The ppl they took their time with me when I couldn’t walk or get up and down. I appreate their thoughtfulness and generosity. We didn't use the ER. We pulled off the highway about 3am and needed somewhere to sleep a few hours. I'm a nurse and figured they'd come out and check on us. Sure enough, security came out to make sure we were ok after we had been there probably 1 1/2 hours. I appreciate that and wanted to acknowledge that they were aware and proactive! My daughter and I got a few hours sleep and felt safe.
I have never had problems with my medical bills being paid for by my insurance coverage providers at any other medical facility. I have been dealing with THIS hospital and their billing department since last July and now it is March. I have been lied to about how Medicare and my supplemental insurance agreed that I would pay the 20%due. Both Medicare and my supplemental insurance stated that was not true when I contacted them about this issue. I was taking care of very well. The nurses were very friendly. The doctor was excellent. I had no problems. I would go there again.
