Something has changed at this emergency room. My husband has a history of pulmonary embolisms so we have to come anytime he has symptoms. Two years ago they explained what was going on and helped in a timely manner. This time we have been waiting for 7 hours and we don’t know if he is ok or not. This behavior is dangerous. Southeast Health has always been my hospital of choice, and I even switched GYNs so I could deliver my child here. Unfortunately, after my most recent experience, I am deeply disappointed. I have been to the ER three times in two weeks for severe, ongoing abdominal pain. After pursuing outpatient care and still having no answers, I finally asked to be admitted for further evaluation. Went to er with chest pains,8/29/2026 and I will admit the 1st doctor and nurses were amazing, althoughthe doctor did not advise of shift change or do a rest for a complaintI made him aware of. And ler me back up, the young lady that took me to the room 22, never opened her mouth, no type of professionalism. Sat in the er this A.M for over 2 hours to be seen 4 weeks postpartum with severe back pain and migrain and when I went up to ask if they had me on the list she asked for my last name said yes and that she didnt know how long I would be waiting minumum probably another hour. So 3 hours minumum to be seen 4 weeks postpartum for severe pain. When I first went in I was at a 4 on pain level but I told them mynpain ramps up and its debilitating at times. I had something I just could not flush out of my eye. I think all my flushing attempts made it worse. It was just over a 5 hour wait, but they were able to flush it out. It was a busy night with them having to help the more pressing cases first. So my wait was longer than others. I am just glad they were able to help me. They were very pleasant and professional.
