Took 70 year old mother to ER for private area heavy blood loss. 3 hours later she hasn't been seen nor has been ported for an IV so when CT technician got her for a scan he brought her back and said that he couldn't do the scan without contrast and that he didn't know when she could get an IV in. Meanwhile we are getting pads from a nurse so she can change in the bathroom periodically. She is also on oxygen and her portable tank is about empty. Apparently no one at this ER understands the severity of a distended gallbladder and cholecystitis that requires surgical intervention and just leaves patients dying in the ER for hours without a care in the world. These people are so incompetent. Can't believe our doctor would recommend this place. They clearly do not care about the well-being of their patients. I probably had the best first experience with an ER possible. I cut my hand with a kitchen knife down to muscle tissue that required stitches. I was in and out in less than two hours, every employee I interacted with was very polite and knowledgeable. I am lucky enough to have a job that has decent insurance, which likely brought me up in the cue. Most hospitals are run/owned by for-profit companies unfortunately. Not the staffs fault.
6 plus hours waiting with my wife this is unacceptable... 10 hours in still not seen a Doctor. 2 hours in er7b... 14 plus total time. Nurses joking and hiding
Have been here 6 hrs with infection. Going to leave and go to Flowers. I am in pain. Have they heard of sepsis. Won't come back.
