Tried this newly opened grill during restaraunt week. Wife had the duck meatloaf and shrimp appetizer. I had redfish on the halfshell and salad appetizer. Both entrees were perfectly seasoned and cooked. Atmosphere was relaxing and the owner was in. He was welcoming. We will definitely be back.
Southdowns Grille knocked it out of the park. Restaurant layout was well thought out and the decor was really nice. The Gumbo was well seasoned and had plenty of ingredients. Duck Meat Loaf was unique and equally delicious. Red Fish was on point, and the salad and Bread Pudding finished it off perfectly. Both I and my friends left completely satisfied with the experience, our server Corin was exceptional as well. Definitely one of the best restaurants on Perkins Road.
Food has made a drastic change, I don’t recommend it! Beware! Best thing is the alcohol.
The menu was unique, and the food was delicious! Refreshing change of pace for Baton Rouge restaurant scene. Will be back!
