I cannot recommend Dr Alkiaat highly enough. From the very beginning, she was absolutely brilliant with me. She was professional, compassionate, caring and genuinely took the time to listen and explain everything clearly. Dr Aseel has been the most amazing doctor. I first saw her back in 2023 for discussion around fertility issues and to get referrals to support me with that, when I finally fell pregnant last year I was excited to come back. Dr Aseel was do calm and patient in explaining everything to me through the pregnancy and helped me decide the best choice for my body, performing the c-section to bring out my 4.2kilo baby. I had a great prenatal and birthing experience with Dr Aseel & Sharon (midwife) 😊 Throughout my pregnancy I felt supported and well informed. I felt comfortable during my birth, that eventuated in an emergency c-section. Dr Aseel was reassuring and calm and that put me at ease and my baby was born with no complications. Esther at the front desk is always lovely 😊 I would happily return one day when the time comes for baby no. 2 👶🏼
In 2019, I was her patient and underwent a hysterectomy with her. Her behavior was generally good, but unfortunately, after the surgery, she did not properly tie one of the blood vessels inside my abdomen, which caused a clot to form. My condition in the hospital was very bad, and my whole abdomen was bruised. She did not listen to me at all and discharged me despite my condition. I’m feeling very let down with all the doctors I’ve seen, including Southbank. After desperately trying to get answers, I finally got a referral here. All I got was a pamphlet and a pain relief medication to take when needed (which in my case would be constantly). Walking downstairs to the pharmacy to get this medication, they warned me not to take it too often, which means it would not be appropriate for my needs at all.
