RecommendedI had recently written a very nice review for friendly staff and an accommodating Aquatic Center schedule that allowed for classes, lessons, a play area for kids, etc. I have debilitating back issues that allow for aquatic exercise to truly be my only form of relief, therapy, and exercise. The facility is well laid out even with covid going on, people and workers are respectful and just a beautiful place to go get a workout in

I've been a member of the South Wood County YMCA since I was 16 years old I am now 31 I worked at the YMCA when I was a teenager it was always a great welcoming wonderful place but now it's very cold the staff is very unwelcoming and rude very sad to say that I will probably be canceling my membership to the YMCA based on how me and my family were treated our first day going into the new facility the front desk staff is unknowledgeable and I cannot say enough how rude they are very disappointed
Don't go if you prefer to workout comfortably. Their strict dress code is geared toward what you see the geriatric crowd wearing, but their glass enclosed pool is a great place to view bikinis. Double standard and body shaming at it's best. Anticipate over-heating in their less than adequately temperature controlled weight training room as anything less than long shorts, baggy pants and t-shirts are no longer allowed.... be careful of your tank tops too, they might show too much skin and make their female employees feel unco... read more
Amazing child care staff!!!
All of it is spectacular! the staff, the facility, the location....... it just is fantastic.
I highly recommend hanging out in the hot tub. the absolute perfect thing for tired aching muscles and bones.
