Money hungry after 12 years I wish I could give zero stars. I have been a patient here for 12 years and over the last 6 - 9 months, the hospital has gone completely downhill. Today was the last straw. Original quote for teeth cleaning increased by $40 for exact same service and when questioned, they added on an additional $40. Amazing especially the patronizing attitude of the tech vet. The place was well run when the office manager Tracy was there. I can only assume why she left. All about the money! I made an appt. for my mini Chihuahau to have her series of shots. I asked if when I was in there could they just take a peek at my other male Chihuahua to be sure he was in fact neutered. He was 3 at the time. They told me I would have to make an additional appt. for him also. It took all but 30 seconds to let me know that he was indeed neutered. I was in there with my other dog....you would think they would just have the other dog come in and get checked while the other one was getting shots. The worst... read more
South Willow Animal Hospital is heartless My cat was 11, which means we have gone to this place for 11 years or 1998 everytime i went there they never knew how old my cat was, had emergency after a small wound got infected took him there he got antibiotics, in a week wound was worse and cat vomiting took to swah,charged me 90 dollares to walk through door wanted to test him, I had no money and when they asked me was it financial I said yes, thinking they would help me since we were long timers as I have heard they were nice ... read more
South Willow Animal Hospital is all about the cold hard cash! a few years back i had a cat who had a serious break in a rear leg. money was the issue and they tried to get me to hand over my cat if i couldn't pay for him...and told me if i couldn't afford to care for my cat then i shouldn't own him. that hurt me as much as my cat was in pain...you know..that tactic totally worked but hurt me to the core.... as they did with good and bad review below. i actually had to take a credit card out just for the cat. the total came t... read more
Friendly and Caring South Willow Animal Hospital is the best choice for veterinary care in Manchester. The staff is helpful and caring and the vets are top notch! They're always happy to give a verbal or written estimate up front for any care upon request. I had no problem setting up an apointment for my cat's initial visit and innoculation and pre-op for his neutering. They even called a few days after his operation to check on his status. There are MD offices that don't even do this! Great vet!!!
Good and Bad Took 2 dogs here. Staff nice and friendly. Offered choices or levels of care. Took 2 cats. One very ill. staff started treating urinary tract blockage before cost estimate. When I balked at $700 for a cat, they said treatment was already started and made me sign over my cat.
