What a wonderful hospital, I had a fall on friday and was attended by Vina (nurse) and Dr Kate Burger. Faultless, caring, respectful and freindly wonderful care from this couple of ladies. Thankyou thankyou from myself and my husband Donna & David von Stanke (Mount Gambier SA) PS Obviously the Ambulance situation is the same as in SA. 3/4hr on concrete floor waiting for the ambulance was No Fun
The paramedics Tara and Lauren made the right call to take me to hospital. They were very thorough. They took my concerns seriously - not just putting it down to anxiety. I was able to put my total trust in them. Laura the nurse was very attentive and made me feel at ease. Simone was a member of the team who was also supportive. Dr Binesha ordered an XRay and found an extracted tooth had fallen deep into my lung. She thoroughly investigated my symptoms. She is organising emergency treatment to remove it in Geelong. I have never had a problem with this hospital, although I was concerned for the elderly man out front of the hospital today who almost fell on to the road out front because nobody was around to help him. His walker nearly toppled backwards on the edge of the curb and on to the entrance roadway, and then almost down the concrete ramp. A few of us were very concerned. I just arrived home after taking my toddler in after she ingested some blue toy liquid. We were in and out within an hour. One of the doctors could speak mandarin and was able to call the company in China, get this of ingredients/chemical, then called poisons and we were cleared to go! Unbelievable. I am so grateful for not only the speed of service, which I appreciate is luck of the draw, but nonetheless was amazing, but also the amazing lengths to ascertain if there was a toxic risk to my baby or not.
