A few years ago, I went in for a routine annual mammogram that is covered 100% by my insurance. Suddenly, years later, it shows up on my credit report under collections for almost $700. I never received a bill or a collections letter. I had the credit agency contact them to dispute it, but they were adamant that I owed them. I don't know if ithe procedure was coded wrong or never sent to my insurance, but I don't feel I should pay $700 for a procedure that's covered by 100% by insurance.
Trying for very close to an hour to make an appointment. In that timeframe I was placed on hold six times by various persons. Their scheduling service is the worst I have ever encountered. Dont recommend this place to anyone. Im sure they will come up with some flimsy excuse
After multiple times of warding off efforts to grossly overcharge me when I visited STRIC on ********, twice in the last 30 days I have been denied care because of their train wreck of a system to verify amounts to be paid & getting the info the front desk staff. After MULTIPLE times dealing with this situation. I am leaving a review to warn others, it appears from reading reviews that I am not alone. Over the last 2 years I have gone to STRIC 4 times. Every time, I do not receive a bill and am sent to collections. When I call STRIC to inquire why I never received a bill I'm told it was mailed and if they don't get payment withing 30 days it goes to collections. No repeat attempts. Went to location for a CT. Been there six previous times plus once for MRI in the past 27 months. Each previous visit, the counter person saw my $0.00 co-pay and never asked for money. This visit on March 2, 2023, I was treated like some nobody off the street, was required to fill several forms that should not have been necessary since they have all of my information, and then asked for a co-pay. I had an MRI done with 2 views - So Tx Radiology had approval from the insurance company to complete one report, but did two and billed for two. Ive been fighting with them for over a year with the help of my insurance company, but they refuse to back down. Theyve even signed a contract as a Preferred Provider with my insurance company stating they will write off whatever insurance doesnt pay, but have refused to do so. (Obviously a worthless contract.) I have had 2 visits with inconclusive results. I think they do this to keep charging. The stress this has caused is beyond words. Not to mention after 6 months of numerous calls and no call backs they have sent my bill to collections.
