The reception staff here are cold, impatient and unhelpful- not great for a medical institution trying to offer aid to fellow humans- they perhaps need training in interpersonal communication- as being hung up on and treated as if your are a drain on their day whilst needing medical attention isn't a great feeling- I will no longer attend this medical centre due to the treatment and attitude of the reception team.
Unfortunately I had a really unpleasant experience here. I was told by Dr. Dilshad Dhaliwal that my intense side effects from a medication she put me on were actually due to "changes in the weather" and that I should continue despite not being able to function. This felt not only bizarre but very invalidating, since going off the medication these side effects resolved.
I have had 2 negative experiences since attending South St Medical in the past 4 months. The first was mine and my sons 8 week post partum/health check. There wasn’t a thorough examination of him, I had to wait 45 minutes for his vaccinations and in the end they didn’t have time to assess me. However I asked for options on contraception (the dr knew I was breastfeeding) and still prescribed me the full contraceptive pill which I later found out from my OB that shouldn’t be advised.
