Absolutely a great place for seniors. My husband and I moved here after spending 6 months looking all over Polk county for a clean well managed facility. This was the only one that met our expectations and we were excited to make the move. Now after almost three years I have developed friendships who supported me through the loss of my love one short year ago. They truly are my family and a inspiring support system. God bless them all.
This is a beautiful building that has been ruined by awful and unprofessional management. I strongly suggest reading the Des Moines register readers watchdog article. People live in fear of evictions and are constantly being watched and picked at by the management. They walk around on eggshells. We strongly suggest looking elsewhere for senior living unless you like being watched and living with overwhelming rules.
RecommendedI have been to the Senior Center several times. The facility is clean and organized. The people seemed friendly. The food was good. I did also attend an exercise/yoga class, it was well attended and the instructor tried to make it fun (is any exercise fun, LOL). They had a pool table and offered other activities. Easy access and parking. Would go again : )
