When I first arrived at South Shores in May of this year, I felt truly broken. I was completely disoriented after having traveled cross country and terrified about what would come next. I was in poor shape spiritually, emotionally, and physically, and missed my family desperately. I never expected to find my joy again, but with South Shores' help, I have. It is a wonderful place for someone suffering from the disease of alcoholism or drug abuse to go to for recovery and guidance. Detoxing is patient and comforting, allowing you to clear your mind and body with the help and comfort of staff. From my experience, the afternoon and evening staff are incredible for assisting you in clearing out your system and getting you prepared for what's required in staying sober. South Shores really helped me get my life back on track. Rehab is not recovery however this place supports recovery with fantastic counseling even if you’re single or married and they get you to meetings every day which gives you the opportunity to sponsor up and start working the steps. I found that is where my recovery habit started Was at the beginning when I came here and just listened to some suggestions from people that had some sobriety great staff excellent food, small intimate setting
Loved this place The staff were amazing they actually cared and are still helping me they are one of the best places I have ever been
